As a Peer Mentor Coordinator with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of substance misuse issues, looking to take the next step in their career with a charity that will support your continued personal and professional development. The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain either HMPPS security clearance.
Where: Sheppey Cluster
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and support a diverse range of peer mentors throughout the prison estate.
- Manage a volunteer recruitment and support strategy within the service.
- Work closely with Healthcare, Prison Security and Offender Management Unit, to ensure robust recruitment/selection and risk management processes are in place.
- Oversee supply of Peer Mentor uniform requirements, on a rolling basis.
- Administration of the detail to ensure coordination of Peer Mentor involvement in Inductions and co-facilitation of interventions.
About You:
- Experience of working within a prison/criminal justice setting.
- Sensitivity in working with complex and diverse cultural issues.

- 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
