About the role:
- Engage with service users from entry into the service through their recovery journey.
- Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning, and referral.
- Reduce drug and alcohol‑related harm to users and the community.
- Promote carer, user, and community involvement.
- Reduce barriers to engagement and remain flexible in approach.
- Advocate for access to partnership services.
- Support service users in social (re)integration, enabling meaningful lives and self‑determination.
- Research, design, and prepare material for group/pod sessions.
- Deliver structured content within group settings at various stages of recovery.
- Engage in debriefing and evaluation with co‑facilitators after sessions, reviewing progress and concerns.
- Tailor workshops to specific needs such as anger management, sleep disorders, and relationships.
About you:
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
- Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good IT skills.
- Proactive, able to work independently with strong time‑management and prioritisation.
- Working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practice.
- Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to partner with diverse professionals and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change in a way that prioritises user needs.
- Commitment to information governance processes and safeguards.
