Clinical Administrator – North Northamptonshire | Full Time | 37.5 Hours per Week

We're looking for an organised and proactive Clinical Administrator to join our North Northamptonshire service. This role supports the safe delivery of prescribing services, working closely with clinicians, recovery teams, pharmacies and managers to ensure high standards of clinical administration and governance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Experience working within an administrative, healthcare, clinical or data‑focused environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience maintaining databases, information systems or case management systems.
  • The ability to analyse information and produce accurate reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A proactive and solution‑focused approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively to a wider team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, information governance and high‑quality service delivery.
  • The ability to travel across North Northamptonshire and work from different service locations as required.

Experience supporting prescribing services, healthcare administration or working within substance misuse services would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location: North Northamptonshire Hours: Full time, 37.5 Contract: Fixed Term for 12 Months

Responsibilities

As Clinical Administrator, you will be at the heart of our prescribing administration function, ensuring the safe and efficient management of prescribing processes across the service.

  • Support the safe and timely administration of prescribing services.
  • Process and manage prescribing documentation and FP10 prescription workflows.
  • Work closely with pharmacies and clinical colleagues to ensure smooth prescribing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and clinical information systems.
  • Produce reports and analyse prescribing data to support service performance and governance.
  • Become a key user of the service’s case management and reporting systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on system use and data processes.
  • Support data quality, compliance and information governance requirements.
  • Assist with service reporting and respond to ad‑hoc information requests.
  • Support wider administrative functions within the service where required.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

Salary Range

CGL SPOT (20) (£26,296.03 – £26,296.03)
