We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to contribute to our successful service.
Your focus will be to support service users identified through the Criminal Justice System, reduce substance misuse-related harm, and help reduce re-offending. You will work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives while promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
Our dynamic and collaborative team includes a service manager, consultant psychiatrists and psychologists, medical professionals, caring nurses, empathetic recovery staff, dedicated volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.
The post holder will be based in the West locality of West Sussex and be expected to work across our Bognor Regis and Chichester hubs as well as being co-located at the Littlehampton probation service. This is a client facing role and you will be flexible in working out in the community to meet service user need.
Hours: 37.5 per week

Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Deliver DRR/ATR intervention in line with National Probation Service (NPS) court order requirements.
- Provide a seamless link between police/court custody suites, prison, and the community.
- Provide information for courts and other criminal justice agencies on the suitability for drug treatment interventions.
- Provide recovery planning and review, as well as structured group work within the Foundations of Recovery/Rehabilitation framework if needed.
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
- Working with individuals to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.
About You:
- Possess an understanding of substance misuse and relevant experience in this field or a related area.
- Have knowledge of the Criminal Justice system.
- Understand effective interventions that lead to a reduction in drug-related crime.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.

- 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
