We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator with the Engagement team who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. The post holder acts as a single point of contact for all referrals, managing them efficiently and carrying out detailed triage assessments to determine appropriate care pathways. They provide telephone-based support, including advice, harm reduction guidance, brief interventions, and signposting to relevant community services, using motivational interviewing techniques and a person-centred approach to support engagement and positive change. Our service operates flexibly to support clients, including late openings during the week and a Saturday morning provision. You will be expected to take part in a rota alongside other Recovery Coordinators to support these hours, and to undertake other duties as required to meet the needs of the service or service users.

Part-Time Hours: 30 hrs per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for referrals, ensuring they are managed efficiently and in a timely way
- Conduct triage assessments to identify needs and determine suitable care pathways
- Provide telephone-based support, including advice, harm reduction, brief interventions, and signposting
- Use motivational interviewing and a person-centred approach to build engagement and support positive change
- Deliver structured one-to-one brief interventions (4-6 sessions) where appropriate
- Build rapport with service users, including those with complex needs
- Work closely with partners and professionals, promoting a “no wrong door” approach
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection standards
- Work flexibly in a busy, fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities
- Support outreach work within the community where required
About You:
- Strong understanding of substance misuse and experience working within a similar field
- Good knowledge of harm reduction approaches and how to apply these in practice
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and information governance
- Skilled communicator (verbal and written), confident in managing sensitive and complex conversations
- Well organised, proactive, and able to manage workload, prioritise effectively, and work independently
- A collaborative team player with the ability to build effective relationships across services and partners
- Demonstrates professional curiosity, sound judgement, and clear personal and professional boundaries
- Committed to a person-centred, strength-based approach, supporting individuals to build independence and resilience, rather than dependency
- Emotionally resilient, reflective, and able to maintain professionalism in challenging situations
