Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals in Brighton and Hove who are rough sleeping or insecurely housed to support them in returning to their area of origin (UK or abroad).
- Provide assessment and coordinate resettlement plans by liaising with relevant agencies and services.
- Engage with foreign nationals who are rough sleeping, including within encampments.
- Work with people who may have been trafficked or victims of Modern‑Day Slavery.
- Work with people who have no recourse to public funds.
- Develop links with services in other UK areas to assist with diversion or reconnection.
- Communicate with the Home Office if necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of the needs of people who are rough sleeping or insecurely housed.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one of: substance misuse, alcohol misuse, mental health, housing law, supporting clients with NRPF.
- Good understanding of safeguarding issues that may present with foreign nationals.
- Knowledge of service pathways to support victims of Modern‑Day Slavery or trafficking.
- Understanding of immigration law.
