Make a real difference to families and communities. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Family Recovery Coordinator to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with families facing complex challenges, helping them overcome substance misuse issues and build safer, healthier futures. Working closely with Children’s Services and other partner agencies, you will provide intensive, tailored support to families on Child Protection and Child in Need plans—supporting them on their recovery journey and empowering long-term positive change.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals and families from initial engagement through to recovery and reintegration
  • Delivering assessments, recovery plans, and psychosocial interventions
  • Working intensively with families experiencing drug and/or alcohol-related challenges
  • Providing both 1:1 and group interventions (e.g. recovery programmes, parenting support)
  • Conducting home visits and parenting assessments
  • Attending and contributing to Child Protection Conferences and multi-agency meetings
  • Promoting recovery, resilience, and social reintegration into the community
  • Supporting access to education, employment, and life skills

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, building strong partnerships with Children’s Services, health professionals, and community organisations.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check. The role involves flexible working across multiple locations in Blackpool.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time): CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41)
