Responsibilities
What’s the role?
- Meet individuals at the prison gate and drive them safely to their designated Probation Office.
- Use your own vehicle to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive journey.
- Work alongside our Dependency and Recovery Coordinators and other volunteers to help people transition smoothly back into the community.

Practical details
- You’ll need your own vehicle and a valid driving licence, MOT and insurance.
- Must have at least 2 years driving experience on a full licence.
- Must not have been disqualified for drink/drug driving in the last 5 years.
- Must not have any points for any major offences on the driving licence.
- Mileage expenses are reimbursed.
- Availability - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday during the mornings.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS and Enhanced Level 1 vetting clearance for Prison and Probation services.
