You’ll have the autonomy to influence practice, the support to lead confidently, and the opportunity to leave a lasting impact.

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week

Contract: Fixed Term for 6 Months

We’re more than a substance misuse charity — we’re a community built on compassion, openness and boldness. Every day, we walk alongside people as they change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its fullest. If you’re ready to lead with purpose, inspire others and make tangible impact, this is the role for you.

About the Role

As Lead Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality clinical care across Birmingham. Every day will bring opportunities to support people in their recovery journey — empowering them to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with HR to ensure the appropriate people and change management skills, knowledge, behaviour and capabilities are in place within line management structures and teams.
  • Manage the clinical aspects of implementations of new clinical developments within the service as required.
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements are explained to employees in particular the legislation governing the clinical and social care/community field.
  • Engage proactively with both participating and providing line management and clinical supervision and maintain a current knowledge of appropriate interventions.
  • Effectively manage and develop all nursing staff and participate in the core training programme as and when required.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience of leading clinical teams and delivering high standards of care
  • A whole-person, trauma-informed approach to health and wellbeing
  • The ability to remain calm, curious and compassionate under pressure
  • A commitment to continuous learning, reflection and professional growth
  • Above all, you’ll be a confident, thoughtful clinician who is motivated by helping people thrive — including your colleagues.
