Wirral Ways is looking for a motivated, innovative and values driven individual, who will drive Service User Involvement, Volunteering, Marketing & Communications in a busy and dynamic service committed to supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues on their recovery journey.
Where: Wirral
Hours: 37.5 per week
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Service User Involvement
- Lead and develop meaningful involvement opportunities for people with lived experience and service users.
- Ensure service users actively influence how Wirral Ways is delivered and improved.
- Gather, analyse and act upon service user feedback.
- Promote inclusive, accessible, and person-centred engagement activities.
- Ensure involvement activities reflect Change Grow Live's values and best practice.
- Volunteering & Student Placements
- Coordinate the full volunteer and student placement journey, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and recognition.
- Develop relationships with universities, colleges, and external partners.
- Support volunteers and placement students to make a positive contribution to the service.
- Grow and strengthen the volunteer programme.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Marketing & Communications
- Produce internal and external communications.
- Develop promotional materials, digital content, and service information.
- Ensure communications are clear, accessible, non-stigmatising, and aligned to brand guidelines.
- Support staff in effectively communicating with service users, partners, and the wider community.
- Raise awareness of the service and its impact within the local community.
About you
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Experience involving service users, or lived-experience groups in service design.
- Volunteer or workforce coordination experience.
- Experience managing social media channels such as Facebook, WhatsApp Communities etc.
- Experience maintaining and updating website content using content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to create engaging digital content including graphics, videos, newsletters, and service updates.
- Understanding of digital engagement and audience growth.
- Experience monitoring engagement metrics and using insights to improve reach and impact.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
- Experience developing partnerships with external organisations.
- Ability to organise events, forums, and engagement activities.
- Strong written communication for reports, promotional materials, and digital content.
- Experience ensuring communications are accessible, inclusive, and non-stigmatising.
