Change Digital are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer on behalf of our Edinburgh based client, to support a large-scale enterprise environment. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and implementing robust segmentation strategies and optimising firewall policies.
Key Requirements:
- Strong expertise in network segmentation, control-point enforcement, and enterprise firewall environments
- Advanced Splunk querying for traffic analysis and segmentation use cases
- Proven ability to translate network traffic into business applications/services
- Experience building least-privilege firewall rules and analysing existing policies
- Skilled in multi-firewall traffic flow analysis and identifying access paths
- Deep knowledge of enterprise IP networking & security
- Familiarity with Palo Alto (Panorama)
- Able to work independently, solve complex problems, and meet tight deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with Firemon, NGFW features (App-ID, user-based rules)
- Firewall rule optimisation, clean-up, and consolidation
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to F5, AWS/Azure networking, Cisco ACIM&A / divestment segmentation experience
- Scripting/automation (e.g. Python)
