Are you a highly experienced Data Architect Lead? Do you have experience delivering complex data services in a regulated environment, ideally within Financial Services? Would you like to be part of a new team that is being built from the ground up? We're looking for a Data Architect Lead to spearhead the data architecture domain and deliver transformational change. You'll lead the design and implementation of a new data platform, champion modern data standards, and drive adoption of emerging technologies like AI and ML. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll shape architecture practices, ensure compliance, and develop a high-performing team. It's hybrid working from their Edinburgh office (circa 2 days a week in the office) so only locally based candidates should apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strategic enterprise architecture plan.
- Design and evolve robust data architecture solutions aligned with business needs.
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies and trends.
- Oversee application development and ensure security compliance.
- Manage data governance and architecture standards across internal and third-party services.
- Drive performance management and development of your team.

- Strong strategic mindset with ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
- Expertise in data architecture, IT data management, and business requirements analysis.

Experience:

- Technical experience around the Microsoft stack including Azure.
