Data Engineer - Edinburgh / Hybrid, Excellent Salary + Benefits

Change Digital are working closely with a leading Financial Services organisation in the UK who are looking to appoint a Data Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer who enjoys working with complex datasets, stakeholder engagement, and building scalable data solutions that support business-critical decision making across the organisation.
The majority of the current data flow scripts are written in SAS, although broader SQL/data engineering experience is highly valued.
You will play a key role in building and maintaining data flows, acquisition processes, and high-performing data marts, helping to deliver a "single version of the truth" across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and acquisition processes.
- Developing and supporting SQL-based applications and reporting solutions.
- Producing accurate and meaningful reports for stakeholders.
- Supporting data governance, quality, security, and performance initiatives.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues promptly.
- Delivering Data & BI requests within agreed SLAs.
- Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.
- Supporting the Data Engineering Lead(s) with project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
