We are looking for a number of additions to our team, including: BOOKKEEPER/CLOUD ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN. It takes a special kind of person to be a bookkeeper. It can be a high pressured role, managing a lot of different clients at once and meeting immovable deadlines. If you LOVE the stuff that most people hate (paperwork, uploading information, reconciliations, VAT!) then we’d love to hear from you.
Your day to day job will include:
- Bookkeeping on Xero, FreeAgent, and occasionally Quickbooks/Sage.
- Working with add-ons such as Dext and Hub-doc.
- Reviewing clients’ bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns.
- Preparing management accounts (depending on experience and qualifications).
- Dealing with client queries.
- Offering training and advice to clients in respect of their bookkeeping and accounting software.
You should have the following:
- AAT qualified (or other similar qualification).
- Certification or working knowledge of Xero, Freeagent, Sage and potentially Quickbooks.
- A working knowledge of CIS and payroll is very desirable.
- Up to date VAT knowledge (e.g. DRC and EU VAT rules, as well as all the basic VAT rules).
- At least 2 years’ experience.
- Impressive IT skills.
- Driving licence.
- Ability to manage your time and meet deadlines.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
This can be a full-time or part-time role. We will also support someone who is wanting a staggered return to work or needs flexibility in their working day. Once any training is complete, we can agree a hybrid working model if desired. The salary range is between £26,000 and £33,000 (depending on experience) plus unlimited holidays.
