About the Role
Changan Automobile, a prominent Chinese automotive manufacturer with a global footprint, is expanding its presence in the European market. Having established design and R&D centers in Europe since the early 2000s, Changan is now reinforcing its commitment to the region with a new European headquarters in Munich. Starting this summer, the company will launch operations across various European markets, introducing a lineup of vehicles that combine European design sophistication with cutting-edge Chinese technology. Focused on innovation and quality, Changan is excited to offer intelligent, stylish, and sustainable mobility solutions tailored to meet the needs of both Europe and the UK.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dealer Payments Specialist to join our team as we approach our launch phase of Changan in the UK. This is a key role responsible for overseeing all dealer financial transactions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments relating to vehicles, incentives, and commercial programmes. As Dealer Payments Specialist, you will play a critical part in building relationships with our dealer network by delivering a transparent, efficient, and responsive payment process. You will work closely with internal departments including Sales, Marketing Finance and Aftersales to align payment workflows. This is a unique opportunity to shape and establish the dealer financial operations from the ground up, contributing directly to the success of a fast-growing, innovative automotive brand.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive Sales & Marketing.
- Proven track record of working in an automotive Sales Operations function.
Skills we are looking for:
- Strong numerical ability and understanding of spreadsheet and database tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver cross functional objectives.
- Understanding of Automotive industry to support payment flows.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain payment processes to non-financial stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payments in accordance with contractual agreements and CAUK processes.
- Produce timely reports on payment status, outstanding balances, incentive claims, and compliance metrics for internal stakeholders.
- Work cross functionally to manage all payments to the dealer network.
- Manage all inbound dealer queries on payments.
- Management of payment forecasting to provide up to insights to the local and European teams.
