This key role is within our UK Animal Health Division and focuses on achieving sales and margin targets from the generic portfolio across all designated accounts. It is an exciting and varied position for an enthusiastic and commercially astute individual.
Location: Northwest & Northeast England, Midlands, and Northern Wales.
Work Environment: Field Sales with the expectation of customerāfacing work five days a week and regular overnight travel for sales meetings, customer visits and events.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and profit objectives in line with company targets and new/existing product strategies.
- Develop efficient journey plans to visit a defined mix of customer accounts, including veterinary practices, trade outlets, buying groups, and head offices in agreement with the national sales manager.
- Design a territory business plan and sales strategy, including identification and segmentation of accounts to ensure effective targeting of key business opportunities.
- Influence accounts to implement business plans through bestāināclass relationship management, including consultative selling and resolution management.
- Implement proactive and corrective actions as required, including negotiation of performanceābased retrospective rebate schemes for accounts.
- Manage and implement promotions and campaigns within each designated account, track ROI, and feed results back to the wider business.
- Maintain accurate customer visit records and meeting actions within the CRM system.
- Use CRM sales data to plan and monitor territory and provide timely reports on business performance and development; provide market intelligence and feedback regarding customer needs and competitor activity.
- Train customers to support confident usage of products and deliver CPD.
- Organise lunchāandālearn training and regional training events.
- Present and update internal stakeholders on territory performance against plans.
- Attend conferences, shows and events as required.
Education and Experience:
- Degree qualified (desirable but not essential).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Valid passport for travel to headquarters (Ireland).
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience in veterinary, animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge or qualification in animal science.
- Residency in the territory required.
- AMTRA/NOAH qualified (desirable but not essential).
- Highly competent on Microsoft Office.
- Full clean driver's licence.
