What Impact You Will Create At Chanel
Reporting to the Head of Middle Office, the Middle Office Junior will be responsible for monitoring, controlling and reporting on the operations of the Financial Markets and Treasury Operations Team for the Global and Regional teams. Ensuring activities are performed in compliance with approved treasury policies & regulations is a key aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Management
- The Middle Office Junior ensures consistency in the booking of our trades (FX, CM, ICL, IRS, Options, Money Markets, etc), and timely confirmation and reporting of these activities (in accordance with regulations in place).
- Ensure the quality of information that are in the TMS, control of the operations done by Financial Market (Front Office) and Regional/Global Treasury Operations to ensure their alignment with our external partners & guaranteed accuracy & completeness of our internal database.
- Conduct bi-annual user access review (e-banking platforms and Treasury management) following external and internal audit guidelines.
- Coordinate annual physical signors review, in close collaboration with our Regional Treasury Team.
- Reporting activities
- Track globally harmonized KPIs, using automated management reports/dashboards to monitor global alignment of our activities to Policies in place.
- Build quarterly Cash management costs reporting (on CORE Banks) and identify possible areas for cost reduction.
- Compliance
- Stay up to date with external regulations, assess and measure the impact of new regulations for the Company and guarantee strict compliance (EMIR reporting amongst others).
- Others
- Point of contact for internal & external audits, the Middle Office Junior will be responsible for providing any information that is in relation to treasury activities’ audit. Additionally, the person will closely monitor the completion of the annual bank account confirmation process.
- Responsible for Month end accounting process (including trades related entries) in close collaboration with Global accounting team.
- Point of contact for private investors (private placement programs), in charge of periodic interest payment letters’ provision.
What You Will Bring
- Master in Finance (ideally with an orientation on Treasury & Controls), with a first short term experience/internship in an international corporation.
- Commitment to enforcing compliance to limits and regulations.
- Affinity with technology and dashboarding tools. Knowledge of Power Query (and Power BI) will be considered as a strong asset.
- Fluent English (speaking and writing).
- Collaboration and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and continually improve current processes.
- Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all activities.
