Contract: Permanent, 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Some flexibility required; occasional weekends.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Distribution Assistant to support our export operations. This role combines core warehouse duties with export-specific responsibilities, requiring strong IT skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The role involves both independent work and collaboration with the export team and head office.

- Perform picking, packing, and preparation of goods for export.
- Ensure accurate labelling, documentation, and data entry for all shipments, including weights and dimensions.
- Communicate effectively with the export team and head office regarding export requests.
- Support bulk orders when the Team Leader is unavailable.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Complete mandatory Dangerous Goods Training and achieve the required certification.
- Report any issues or discrepancies promptly to supervisors and team leaders.
- Provide support in other areas of the distribution centre during quieter periods.
What you will bring to the role:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role is preferred.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, D365 and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams.
- Self-motivated, organised, and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and ability to work on own initiative.
- Physically able to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
- Must complete and pass Dangerous Goods Training before handling export shipments.
- Awareness of retail demands during busy periods and ability to work under pressure.
- Approachable with the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately with all levels of the business.
