CHANEL is an independent company that believes in the freedom of creation, cultivates human potential, and acts to have a positive impact in the world. At CHANEL, we strive to identify what is unique in each person and support them through their journey with the brand. Our mission at CHANEL Beauty is to underline what is most unique in every person and give our clients the confidence to become the true expression of themselves through exceptional fragrance, make up and skincare creations.

Your role @CHANEL: As Digital Creative Manager (Maternity Cover), you will lead and shape the Digital Creative Team within the Fragrance & Beauty division in the UK Region, with occasional support to other divisions such as Watches & Fine Jewellery, Fashion and Corporate as capacity allows. This is a fixed-term role covering the substantive Manager's maternity leave, and continuity of leadership, creative standards and team support across this period is central to its success. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong people leadership, creative direction and project management capability, alongside a solid understanding of digital design and brand communication. You will oversee all creative projects end-to-end, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with global creative direction, business objectives and regional ambitions.

At its core, this role is about strengthening the team: supporting your direct reports day-to-day, setting the creative bar, bringing clarity to priorities and project-managing creative delivery from initiation through to sign-off. As a strategic bridge between creative, business and global teams, you will keep workflows moving, protect team capacity, and drive creative excellence across the business. You will report into the Regional Head of Visual and Creative Design, predominantly based at Head Office, with remote working when appropriate.

What impact you can create at Chanel: You will keep CHANEL's digital presence across the UK and UK Region - including markets such as Ireland, Canada and South Africa - moving forward without disruption, providing clear creative direction and local market insight to support business growth. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and global partners, ensuring creative work reflects CHANEL's brand values and contributes to long-term success.

  • Team Support & People Leadership: Be the day-to-day point of support for the team - coaching, unblocking and championing direct reports, setting clear expectations, giving regular feedback, and safeguarding their development and workload during the cover period.
  • Creative Direction: Set and maintain the creative standard across all digital output, ensuring consistency, quality and alignment with CHANEL's brand guidelines, business objectives and visual identity.
  • Clarity & Prioritisation: Translate briefs, business asks and shifting priorities into clear, well-scoped tasks for the team - reducing ambiguity, so the team always know what to focus on.
  • Creative Project Management: Own project pipelines end-to-end - planning, resourcing and tracking creative work - ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery that meets both creative and commercial objectives.
  • Global & Stakeholder Relationship Management: Represent the UK Digital Creative team in global and cross-functional discussions, ensuring the UK perspective is heard while staying aligned with global direction.
  • Creative Input on Business Strategy: Participate in business strategy discussions, providing creative input and expertise to drive business growth from both an imagery and revenue perspective.
  • Performance & Visibility: Present creative strategies and outcomes to senior stakeholders, demonstrating the business value of creative excellence through measurable results.
  • Continuity & Handover: Maintain existing ways of working and key relationships built by the substantive Manager, ensuring continuity for the team and stakeholders throughout the cover period.

What you will bring to the role: Proven people-management experience, with a genuine motivation to support, coach and develop a small creative team. Strong creative direction and an eye for design, with a passion for producing work that resonates within the luxury fragrance and beauty industry. Excellent organisational and project management skills - comfortable bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous or fast-moving briefs. Strong strategic and commercial mindset, connecting creative output to measurable business results. Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and global partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey digital creative concepts clearly and concisely. A hands‑on, solution-oriented attitude - able to step in quickly, prioritise pragmatically and keep the team supported and delivering. Experience in a similar Manager or senior interim/maternity-cover capacity is an advantage.

You are energised by: Leading and supporting a small creative team, building strong connections across the business, and finding ways to make creative work more efficient and enjoyable. You thrive on bringing clarity to complexity and take pride in leaving a team stronger and more confident than you found it. Contributing in the on-going and companywide version of sustainability.

Sustainability is one of CHANEL’s key performance drivers, embedded into our ways of working we require continued collective action from all employees to deliver on CHANEL’s House Sustainability Ambitions across our four key areas: Restoring Nature and Climate, Investing in Circularity, Advancing dignity and prosperity, Promoting the autonomy of women.

What you would gain from this experience: This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing creative team within a global luxury house, gaining hands‑on management, project leadership and stakeholder experience at pace. You will strengthen your people‑leadership and creative direction skills, build cross-market relationships, and gain valuable exposure to how creative work supports CHANEL's long‑term brand vision - experience that will serve your career well beyond this assignment.
