Overview of Business We are delighted to be working with one of the UK\’s leading 5* housebuilders to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join the Building Safety Unit. Our client set up their Building Safety Unit to address the projects that need remediating in-line with the building safety act post Grenfell. There are projects across England, Scotland and Wales, meaning that the team work predominantly on a remote basis with occasional trips into the office (unless you prefer to be office based, in which case you will be assigned to the closest regional office). Job description Our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Coordinator to join the well-established Building Safety Unit and progress the portfolio of developments requiring remediation. Your responsibilities will be: * Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of fire remediation works across various sites. * Work with architects, structural engineers, and fire consultants to develop remediation strategies and technical solutions. * Ensure all designs comply with Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and the latest fire safety legislation. * Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Coordinate the submission of design information to warranty providers, building control, and local authorities. * Liaise with internal departments (construction, commercial, and customer care) to ensure smooth project delivery. * Assist in procuring and managing specialist subcontractors involved in fire remediation. * Maintain and update project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and technical approvals. * Support project planning, ensuring timely delivery of technical information to site teams.
