Do you have experience of selling a technical construction product on sites, into Main and sub contractors, House builders, civil engineers, groundworkers, concrete framers and the water industry? If so, this leading supplier of groundwork solutions could be for you! This is a field/home based sales role covering Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and South East London. The product range is vast and includes Props and Struts, Trench Sheets, Manhole covers, shoring and Excavation Safety.
THE ROLE
As Business Development Manager, your role is to sell and hire the company's range of specialist ground working equipment, that includes such products as Props & Struts, Trench Sheets, Manhole Braces and Excavation Safety Equipment to name but a few. You'll be selling and hiring to Ground Workers, House Builders, Sub Contractors, Main contractors, civil engineers, concrete framers, the water industry on major construction projects, such as Sizewell, District Heating projects, Basement works, Cross Rail, Forecourt projects etc.
As Business Development Manager you'll spend 4 days out in the field and 1 day in the branch on admin duties and booking appointments. Covering Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and South East London. Postcodes include DA, ME, CT, TN, BR, CR, SM, KT, RH, GU, BN, PO and SO. You'll have 5 Key accounts, where you'll network with the Plant Managers, Contract Managers, Directors, Site Foreman and pick up great information on site and have another strong 20+ accounts across your territory. You'll be supported by a very experienced Sales Manager and receive excellent technical training, product training and coaching, to help you maximise your territory's potential. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
You must have a proven track record of construction industry field sales success, ideally with strong site experience. A technical/engineering bias, ideally with groundworks, civils, structural engineering, drainage etc. A strong relationship builder/networker, commercially astute, will ask for the order. This is 2/3rd Hire and 1/3rd Sales, so someone from a plant hire background could be of interest. A Qualification in Civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, structural engineering or equivalent would be advantageous.

THE REMUNERATION
