Pay Range: £45,000‑£55,000 basic salary (dependent on experience). Quarterly bonus payments giving up to approximately £12k per annum on top.
The Role
- Sell and hire the company’s range of specialist ground‑working equipment, including Props & Struts, Trench Sheets, Manhole Braces and Excavation Safety Equipment.
- Target ground workers, house builders, sub‑contractors, main contractors, civil engineers, concrete framers, and the water industry on major construction projects such as Sizewell, District Heating, Basement works, Cross Rail, and Forecourt projects.
- Spend 4 days out in the field and 1 day in the branch on admin duties and booking appointments, covering Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and North East London.
- Maintain 5 key accounts and network with plant managers, contract managers, directors, site foremen, plus 20+ additional accounts across the territory.
- Receive support from an experienced Sales Manager, plus technical training, product training and coaching to maximise territory potential.

The Successful Candidate
- Proven track record of construction industry field sales success with strong site experience.
- Technical/engineering bias, ideally in groundworks, civils, structural engineering, drainage, etc.
- Strong relationship builder/networker, commercially astute, and able to secure orders.
- Experience in a plant hire background is advantageous, as the role is 2/3 hire and 1/3 sales.
- Qualification in civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, structural engineering or equivalent is advantageous.
