A unique opportunity to join this world renowned manufacturer of high end corporate office furniture as a Technical Designer.
The Role:
- A major International office furniture manufacturer is looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join their team based in the company’s central London showroom.
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with the option for 1-2 days working from home should you wish.
- Your role is varied but centres upon design, specification, CAD layouts, and quoting commercial furniture projects.
- Working primarily in pre-sales, alongside the sales team, you are also responsible for selecting, specifying and quoting furniture for major projects in the UK & Europe.
- Understanding and interpreting client requirements and guiding them towards a successful solution.
- Reading floor plans to produce quotes using AutoCAD assisted planning software.
- Providing clean detailed orders to the customer service team.
- Creating detailed installation drawings using AutoCAD assisted planning software.
- Working closely with the operations and project management teams, to ensure a trouble-free delivery & installation.
- Providing technical support to end users, dealers and sales representatives.
- Creating and reviewing special products with the Engineering group to ensure such products are feasible and acceptable.
- Creating three dimensional drawings.
- Keep informed on product discontinuations and new product launches.
- Follow departmental processes & procedures accordingly.

The Person:
- College degree or diploma in Design or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD is essential.
- Rendering & presentation skills would be an advantage.
- Numerically competent and able to work with multiple currencies and discount levels.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Space Planning.
The Package:
- £40-£50k Basic Salary (Dependent on experience).
