Overview

Director at Chandler Harris Recruitment Ltd, specialist recruiter for the sales and white collar construction industry. Great opportunity to join this market leading manufacturer of Highways Safety Products, the product range is vast and includes Bollards, Highways Signage, Grit Bins and Snow Clearance Products.

Field/Home based, Account Management focused covering the East Midlands. Our client is considering candidates based in Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham, Northampton, Banbury or Milton Keynes as key areas for the territory.

The Role

  • Sell the company's manufactured range of Highways Safety Products (Bollards, Highways Signage, Grit Bins, Snow Clearance Products).
  • Field/home based covering the East Midlands including Warwickshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcester; Gwent, Powys, Dyfed and Glamorgan are also in scope.
  • Account Management focused selling to Local Authorities, Government Departments, Traffic Management Contractors and Highways Maintenance Contractors.
  • Demonstrate products and carry/transport products; occasional face-to-face demonstrations required.
  • Attend around 2-3 face-to-face appointments per day.
  • Excellent product training with strong support and back-up.
  • Realistic and achievable targets; orders can range from £2k to £50k++.

The Candidate

  • Must have field sales experience and be located in Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham, Northampton, Banbury or Milton Keynes.
  • Sold a product and built strong relationships; comfortable with some new business development.
  • Capable of selling by demonstration and able to carry/transport products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, determined and able to work independently.

The Package

  • Up to £40,500 basic salary dependant on experience.
  • Quarterly bonus with OTE around £50k.
  • EV Company car.
  • 33 days annual leave.
  • Company Final Salary Pension scheme after a minimum of two years’ service.
  • Life insurance after a minimum of two years’ service.
  • Pension through NEST within 3 months of start date.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme; Long Service Awards; Private health care after one year’s service.
