- 1. Supporting Children & Program Delivery
- Build positive, trusting, and caring relationships with children and families.
- Support children with daily routines, including toileting, mealtimes, dressing, and transitions.
- Use positive child guidance and redirection to help children understand, regulate, and express their emotions.
- Support opportunities for social interaction, exploration, and learning through play.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
- Support children in developing independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in all aspects of program delivery, including planning, preparation, implementation, and clean-up.
- 2. Supporting Families
- Build respectful and positive relationships with parents and caregivers.
- Recognize and respect the individual values, experiences, and approaches of each family.
- Communicate openly and professionally with parents and caregivers.
- Support children and families during transitions, including separation at arrival.
- Help ensure all families feel welcomed, respected, and included within CHANCES programs.
- 3. Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the Early Childhood and Early Learning teams to support quality programming.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment through open and respectful communication.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling and responsibilities to respond to program and participant needs.
- Participate in regular team meetings, planning, and professional learning opportunities.
