Senior Solicitor

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced solicitor, ideally with 10 or more years’ PQE, to join a highly regarded London boutique chambers, working at the highest level across private wealth, tax and commercial disputes.

This is an opportunity for someone who is looking for something different from the traditional large firm environment: high quality and intellectually challenging work, genuine autonomy, close access to very senior practitioners and the opportunity to become an important part of a small, ambitious team.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of Chambers, while taking responsibility for a broad range of matters and developing their own practice within the team.

The Work

Chambers specialises in complex and high value matters, principally in the following areas:

• Private wealth and contentious trusts




• Tax disputes and contentious tax




• Civil fraud, asset tracing and civil recovery




• Company, shareholder and partnership disputes




• High value civil and commercial litigation




• Internationally connected private wealth and disputes matters

The work is varied, demanding and often highly strategic. You will have the opportunity to take substantial responsibility for matters rather than operating within a large departmental structure.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced solicitor who combines strong technical ability with sound commercial judgement and the confidence to take ownership of complex matters.

You are likely to have 10+ years’ PQE and a background in one or more of the areas above. Experience in private wealth, trusts, tax, fraud, asset tracing or commercial chancery litigation would be particularly relevant.

Just as importantly, you will enjoy working in a close knit environment and be someone who is willing to contribute to the development of a younger team. Experience of mentoring, supervising, training, teaching or sharing technical knowledge would be an advantage.

We would particularly welcome someone who is attracted by the prospect of moving from a larger practice into a more focused and personal environment, where the quality of the work and the people you work alongside matter more than size or hierarchy.
