ROLE OBJECTIVEThis role plays a vital part in promoting and protecting the Champneys brand. The spa operation lies at the heart of our identity, making this position central to our success. Operating within an environment of continual development and evolution, it is essential that you remain knowledgeable within your specialist area, using this expertise to support your team and consistently uphold the highest standards.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct daily uniform and presentation checks to ensure exceptional standards are maintained.

Work closely with Elemis and Clarins Account Managers to maximise retail performance.

Collaborate with the In-House Trainer and Spa Management team to achieve set KPIs.

Attend the 8am booking station or ensure appropriate coverage is in place.

Attend spa tours and ensure therapists conduct them in line with SOPs, including correct dialogue and demonstrations.

Ensure Champneys spa customer service standards are consistently upheld.

Work closely with the reception team to maximise revenue opportunities.

Deliver beauty treatments to the required standard while adhering strictly to treatment timings.

Maintain excellent standards of room cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and therapist presentation.

Monitor daily treatment and retail sales and communicate performance effectively to therapists.

Manage stock control for treatment and retail products, following standard purchase order procedures.

Support the Spa Manager with recruitment activities, including interviews, trade tests, and inductions.

Ensure efficient and effective scheduling of therapist rotas.

Assess therapist performance and support continuous development through training in specialist treatments and customer service.

Deliver treatments and training to the highest standards while supporting business demands.

Support and develop apprentices within the department.

Assist the Spa Manager with administrative duties as required.

Liaise with product suppliers regarding training needs, retail performance, stock levels, visual merchandising, and promotions.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Ensure all staff are aware of fire procedures and emergency actions.

Maintain the safety and proper use of all equipment at all times.

Identify hazardous substances within the department and report notifiable items to the General or Maintenance Manager.

Ensure staff are fully aware of health and safety requirements relevant to their roles.

Confirm appropriate protective clothing is worn when required.

Ensure all staff are adequately trained and qualified before delivering treatments or classes.

Support overall departmental health and safety responsibilities, including maintaining a fully stocked first-aid box.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDINGComprehensive knowledge of all treatments and products, with the ability to tailor services to individual client needs.

Strong awareness of team capabilities and training levels to allocate work effectively.

Full understanding of fire, health, and safety procedures, ensuring team compliance at all times.
