Position Summary

Front of House Receptionist – Part Time. Location: Buxton Crescent. Contract: 32 hours per week. Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, professional welcome and efficient check‑in experience.
  • Manage guest check‑outs, payments, accounts and robe controls.
  • Handle guest enquiries, resolve concerns and escaleate where appropriate.
  • Administer payments and end‑of‑day procedures in line with company guidelines.
  • Prepare arrivals for future dates to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Operate the switchboard and transfer calls professionally.
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping and other departments to support guest satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement of reception performance and profitability.
  • Complete administrative duties and attend training as required.
  • Always work in line with Champneys’ policies, procedures and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

  • A natural people person with a warm, confident and professional approach.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage payments accurately.
  • Calm and solutions‑focused when handling guest feedback or challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
  • Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.
