GROUP SPA TRAINER – NORTH REGION

ROLE OBJECTIVE

As Group Spa Trainer for the North Region, you will play a pivotal role in developing and supporting the spa teams across our Northern resorts. The spa operation is at the core of the Champneys brand, and this role ensures our therapists deliver exceptional experiences in line with our values and standards.

You will be responsible for delivering training, identifying skill gaps, and fostering continuous improvement across the Northern region. This role requires both a hands-on and strategic approach, with a strong emphasis on maintaining quality, consistency, and innovation within our spa teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging training to spa therapists across all Champneys spas in the North region.
  • Identify training needs and develop tailored learning programs to support individual and team growth.
  • Introduce and implement new treatments and protocols, maintaining Champneys’ position as a leader in spa excellence.
  • Work closely with the Group Spa Manager and Regional Spa Managers to support operational and commercial objectives.
  • Oversee the induction process for new therapists, ensuring it is up to date, comprehensive, and aligned with company standards.
  • Travel regularly to Northern spa locations to support on-site training, coaching, and development.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide reports on team progress and development plans.
  • Attend and contribute to regular group training meetings and initiatives.
  • Share knowledge across the team, promote collaboration, and contribute to a positive and respectful working environment.
  • Uphold brand standards and ensure consistent treatment delivery across all Northern spas.
  • Mentor and support therapists in developing technical skills and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, standards, and guest care.
  • Manage training resources and ensure materials are current and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Support administrative tasks related to training and team development.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all spa team members are aware of and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Confirm that protective equipment is used where required for specific treatments.
  • Guarantee that all staff are properly trained and qualified before delivering treatments or classes.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in the spa industry, previous field trainer experience essential. Experience delivering training and coaching in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of spa treatments and the ability to adapt protocols as needed.
  • Experience working with apprenticeships is highly desirable.
  • Passionate about learning, development, and the wellbeing industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across the North region and occasionally nationally.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a field-based role working between multiple spa locations within the North Region. Candidates must be based near one of our Northern spas and able to travel regularly between sites as part of their weekly schedule.
