This role is based at Buxton Crescent. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to work closely with the Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller and Hotel Manager, providing support in managing hotel’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with statutory and company policies. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance activities, maintaining the integrity of financial data, and assisting in the production of timely and accurate management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing banking & cashflow forecasting
- Supporting Financial Controller with month-end close process and production of accurate management accounts
- Ensuring strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness
- Monitoring departmental cost performance and payroll targets
- Overseeing purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
- Ensuring good ongoing communication with all HODs, and providing them with relevant financial support and guidance
- Liaising with Head Office finance teams and external accountants/auditors
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working within a finance function, ideally within the hospitality sector
- Ideally AAT, HOSPA, or equivalent qualification
- Strong administration & IT skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience using Sage or similar ERP/accounting systems
