We are seeking a Chemist for our Chemically Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) Technology team located in Aberdeen, UK to support both business and customer needs. The Chemist will be responsible for supporting more senior team members with lab testing, managing basic customer support projects, and supporting a safe and efficient laboratory. The ideal candidate is versatile, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative environment. What You Will Do

  • Apply basic chemistry principles, theories, and concepts to assignments where precedents typically exist.
  • Use basic scientific knowledge to solve problems.
  • Contribute to the research and development of differentiated technology, products, processes and systems.
  • Perform work in a safe manner while identifying opportunities for improving safety.
  • Manage several requests at once while working within a fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with polymers and/or surfactants.
  • Experience using a viscometer/rheometer, preparing samples in a glove box, using a coreflood, and running contact angle/IFT measurements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • The candidate should be outgoing, creative, a self‑starter, and team oriented.
