We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Athlete Marketing Specialist (Combat Sports & Basketball) to support the management and execution of athlete and sports partnerships. The role will focus on relationship management, operational coordination and contractual support, athlete marketing and social media content, combat sports product marketing and ensuring seamless execution of athlete programs and full compliance with internal guidelines.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with professional athletes/influencers across Combat Sports & Basketball and internal stakeholders to maximize brand exposure and partnership value within our Training & Sports strategy.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the identification, recruitment, and management of professional athletes, influencers, and brand ambassadors aligned with the Company's brand strategy, with a focus on Combat Sports and Basketball.
- Manage the partnerships between the Company and athletes, supporting daily communication, coordination, product fulfillment, and ensuring contract deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with the Head of Athletes to align objectives, deliverables, and timelines across athlete and sports partnerships.
- Support the development and execution of athlete marketing and activation strategies including athlete social media content, campaign inclusions, outfitting and fight night activations.
- Support in building and then owning the Champion product seeding program, ensuring relevant athletes and influencers across Combat Sports and Basketball are receiving Champion product and the impact is being reported on.
- Support in exploring new verticals for Champion, including Basketball and other areas of Combat Sports.
- Support the product team in developing specialist Combat Sports & Basketball equipment & product by facilitating feedback from athletes and partners.
- Maintain and update a centralized athlete database, managing contracts & renewals, expirations, payment timelines and content storage.
- Support in building and then owning the Champion gym seeding program, building and managing relationships with Combat Sports & Basketball gyms, supplying them with product and identifying opportunities for activations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in athlete management, talent management, influencer marketing, sports sponsorship or combat sports.
- Strong eye for athlete and sports marketing with an understanding and interest in social media content.
- Good organizational and project coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for sports, athletes, fashion and brand partnerships (in particular a passion and knowledge of combat sports is a must).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Legal, Finance).
- Fluent English (mother tongue or professional proficiency); Italian is a plus.
