Chameleon Business Interiors is a growing commercial interiors contractor, delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Intermediate Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, based in either Hull or Leeds.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a few years’ experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will support the commercial function across tendering and live projects, working closely with senior team members while gradually taking on greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
- Carrying out take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Requesting and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Supporting cost control on live projects, including valuations and variations
- Assisting with procurement and subcontractor appointments
- Maintaining accurate cost reports and project records
- Working collaboratively with project managers, designers, and suppliers
About You
- 2–5 years’ experience in an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor role within construction or commercial interiors
- Good understanding of fit-out or refurbishment projects
- Confident reading drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable using MS Excel and estimating software
- Keen to learn, develop, and progress within a commercial team
