Chambers and Partners is the leading independent professional legal research company operating across 200 jurisdictions. We deliver detailed rankings and insight into the world's leading lawyers and law firms. We are expanding our commercial events team and looking for an experienced event salesperson to identify, pitch, and close new business sponsorship deals across our global portfolio of legal events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sponsorship sales strategies to meet revenue targets across assigned legal industry events.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and build relationships with prospective sponsors, including law firms, legal technology providers, and service vendors targeting legal professionals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and closing. Maintain and grow existing client relationships across our global events.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with legal industry trends to identify new sponsorship opportunities and tailor proposals to client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, content, research, and event operations teams to ensure sponsor deliverables are fulfilled to the highest standard.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare sales reports, and provide regular revenue forecasts.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • B2B event sponsorship or media sales, ideally within the legal, professional services, or events industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Solid experience of qualifying new business opportunities and transitioning them through the event sales funnel.
  • Pipeline management should be your bread and butter.
  • Strong network or experience working with legal vendors, law firms, or legal tech companies is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create compelling sponsorship proposals and negotiate at senior levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Business proficiency (spoken and written) in one of Spanish, Portuguese and/or Mandarin is a plus but not essential.
  • Executive-level communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
