This role is a great opportunity for progression and growth and offers the chance to take responsibility for scrutiny over all rankings and editorial for designated jurisdictions.

This role will entail management of a team of UK/USA researchers working across Chambers USA, UK and Canada research requiring the successful candidate to support the Research Director and the Heads of USA and Canada and our UK colleagues with employee engagement, performance management and learning and development support. You will work on the UK Team until 1st August and then you will transition to the US team.

As key point of contact for law firms, you will be required to keep up to date with developments in the legal market, represent the company and have excellent analytical and editing skills. As you will be leading a team of researchers, you will have leadership qualities, first-class communication skills and the enthusiasm to manage the team to achieve tight deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Manager will have the opportunity to develop their skills as a manager of people, working on the professional development and day to day management of a mixed team of research analysts and more senior colleagues. The Research Manager supports their own and the wider research team from recruitment through to promotion, with responsibilities for sharing, collating and acting on feedback from other managers and specialists.

The Research Manager will also represent the team in internal meetings, taking a role in the development and testing of new platforms; the provision of feedback and support to other teams across the business; and participating in seminars, workshops and other programmes to improve our research processes.

The Research Manager’s ultimate responsibility is to work as a member of the senior research team and other collaborators to ensure the timely and accurate production of the USA and Canada Guides and related projects in line with our team, department and company goals.
