We are expanding our commercial events team and looking for a results-driven, Event Sponsorship Sales Team Lead to inspire and support the team to hit their FY26 targets and to cultivate their own new business sponsorship deals for our global and growing portfolio of legal events.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders at law firms, legal tech providers, and corporate legal departments.
- Support the team in high-value pitches and negotiations as needed.
- Ensure consistent delivery of sponsor value and ROI through cross-functional collaboration.
- Own the creation of engaging sales collateral that highlights the value proposition of Chambers Events.
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the sponsorship sales strategy across a global portfolio of legal sector events.
- Set and monitor revenue targets, KPIs, and sales goals aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and strategic partners within the legal ecosystem.
Team Management
- Lead, coach, and support a team of sponsorship sales executives.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and training sessions to support team development.
- Motivate the team to exceed revenue targets while fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility across the team.
- Report performance data and insights to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Ensure proper use of CRM and adherence to sales processes and documentation.
Market & Product Insight
- Stay informed on legal industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving client needs.
- Collaborate with the events and content teams to shape sponsorship offerings and packages that align with market demand.
Skills and Experience
- B2B event sponsorship or commercial sales experience, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding seven-figure revenue targets.
- Experience within the legal, professional services, or high-value events sectors.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Deep understanding of the legal sector and/or legal tech landscape is a significant advantage.
Person Specification
- Fluency in other languages is advantageous, particularly Mandarin or Cantonese, but not required.
- Ability and desire to succeed, proactive/self-starter.
