Chambers and Partners is looking for a fluent Brazilian Portuguese speaker with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to join our Credit Control team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, handle queries, post cash, and support the collection of overdue payments—working closely with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure a positive client experience.
Please note that this role could be based in our London or Birmingham office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Chasing a designated set of accounts/ledger via calls and emails
- Managing accounts receivable inbox and general client queries
- Enhancing customer experience by building and maintaining a strong relationship with the customers
- Liaise with the wider Finance team, Sales and Customer Success to ensure timely customer query resolution and facilitate collection of overdue debt
- Cash posting & reconciling complex customer accounts
- Weekly ledger meeting with Credit Control Lead
- Demonstrable experience in a customer-focused role (or similar)
- Portuguese speaker is mandatory
- Able to work independently
- Impeccable communication skills, with both colleagues and clients
- Confident in making phone calls and having difficult conversations
