The Event Production Team Lead is a senior role responsible for overseeing the planning, production, and delivery of a global portfolio of awards ceremonies and conferences for Chambers & Partners. Managing a team of three Event Producers, the role ensures the successful execution of approximately 30 high‑profile events per year, delivered to a consistently high standard and aligned with the company’s brand, values, and commercial objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of three Event Producers, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of a portfolio of c.30 awards ceremonies and conferences annually, ensuring events are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
- Act as senior production lead on flagship and complex events, including awards ceremonies, conferences, and client partnered events.
- Own and maintain event production processes, timelines, budgets, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure robust health, safety, and duty‑of‑care procedures are embedded across all events.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including editorial, commercial, marketing, partnerships, and operations teams.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and venues, including AV, production agencies, staging, catering, and entertainment.
- Oversee event budgets, cost control, and supplier negotiations to ensure value for money.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and audience experience across the events portfolio.
- Support strategic planning for future events, including new formats, locations, and content‑led initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in event production, with at least 2 years in a senior or team leadership role.
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale awards ceremonies and conferences, ideally within professional services, legal, media, or B2B environments.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple events simultaneously across different locations.
- Strong people management skills, with experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
- Excellent project management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven budget management experience, including forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Strong supplier and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
