Overview: We are looking for a Maternity cover for an Events Manager to ensure the seamless execution of prestigious events globally. This role is instrumental in providing logistical and technical expertise for the orchestration of forums and awards. It demands meticulous attention to detail and will involve international travel.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage awards and conferences worldwide, handling event logistics, assisting speakers, contributing to conference agendas, and coordinating with external suppliers.
- Execute administrative tasks within specified timelines and budgets for each event.
- Collaborate with the events sales and marketing teams to enhance existing agendas, identify growth opportunities, and foster improvements.
- Work closely with the research team to deliver compelling conference agendas and ensure events provide valuable content for senior decision-makers.
- Manage, train, and develop direct reports, ensuring effective workload management.
- Demonstrate experience in budget planning across multiple events.
- Maintain the company\’s global events calendar.
- Liaise with sponsors to fulfil contractual publicity obligations.
- Source and book venues, manage AV requirements, logistics, etc.
- Conduct venue and supplier research as needed.
- Maintain accurate databases for event attendees.
- Assist the event team with general administrative duties, including organizing mailing lists, creating name badges, and packing goodie bags.
