To work, under the supervision of the Events Marketing Manager with a dotted line into the Head of Events, to deliver high quality events and conferences for Chambers & Partners globally. This role will be for 2 days per week for 8 weeks and work on a defined number of Forum conferences across jurisdictions, as part of a transformation plan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To research and analyse the feasibility of developing potential conference topics into commercially viable events.
- To communicate by phone and email with key industry figures to determine the validity of proposed topic, sub-themes, timing and location.
- To create a comprehensive topic briefing document for all events which among other things will outline:
- An overview of the topic and its validity as a standalone event.
- An account of the likelihood that the event will encourage the participation of paying delegates.
Skills and Experience
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years in organising international events and conferences.
- Relevant experience of undertaking marketing and corporate communications work.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience in working within a multicultural and international environment.
- Ability to use an international network of contacts for commercial purposes.
- Relevant communications and Web experience.
- Demonstrable expertise in budgeting and managing projects to tight deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail.
