About the Role

Duties will include:

  • Managing month end close activities, including processing and posting of invoices, journals, and recharges across the group.
  • Performing Capex adjustments and ensuring accurate month end reporting.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Setting up and processing supplier payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Uploading and maintaining accurate financial data for group level consolidated reporting.
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller to resolve audit and tax queries from auditors and external advisors.
  • Liaising directly with external auditors during interim and year end audits.
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets, providing insightful analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
  • Reviewing and updating financial forecasts to reflect current business performance and market conditions.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with the following experience and attributes:

  • Part-qualified accountant currently working towards a recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Confident user of financial systems and tools, with solid Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial reporting.
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities, working effectively to tight deadlines.

Pay range and compensation package: Salary £45k+
