We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Creative Designer to lead our design vision and execution across all brand and marketing initiatives. This is an impactful leadership role for a senior-level designer who’s equally comfortable setting creative direction and executing best-in-class work. You’ll be the primary design authority and responsible for building design maturity within the organisation. The ideal candidate for this role will combine strong creative leadership with hands-on design skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset. As a senior design leader in a small but growing team, you must be proactive, adaptable, and able to operate at both strategic and executional levels.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and define the design strategy across brand, marketing, product, and communications.
  • Serve as the primary design stakeholder, collaborating closely with leadership across Marketing, Events and Product.
  • Produce high-level creative work—brand systems, digital assets, UX/UI design, campaigns, and presentations.
  • Own the visual identity and brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality across touchpoints.
  • Provide day-to-day creative direction and feedback to your direct report; support their growth and development.
  • Advocate for user-centered design and champion design thinking across the company.
  • Develop scalable design processes, tools, and documentation to enable a high standard of work.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with contractors or agencies as needed.
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team-building as the design function grows.

The responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general nature of the role and may not encompass all duties. Responsibilities and scope may shift and evolve over time to meet the needs of the business.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Degree in Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.

Qualifications

  • Extensive demonstrable professional design experience within a senior or leadership role including management responsibilities.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating deep craft across brand, marketing, product, and digital experiences.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, even in small team settings.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect design decisions to business goals.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with product and marketing teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience as a design lead in a startup or high-growth company.
  • Ability to scale a design function and help build a team.
  • Familiarity with design ops, accessibility, and performance metrics.
