The role involves managing a team of portfolio managers who are responsible for the bank's UK real estate finance loan book.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for on-going relationship and risk management within the portfolio, including effective management of extensions/renewals/maturities/covenants/conditions.
  • Thorough oversight of the portfolio to ensure loan performance meets requirements, with effective and timely reporting of facilities that do not.
  • Identification of risk situations and control of overdue loans ensuring the portfolio is adequately monitored.
  • Personally managing a handful of the bank’s largest client exposures.
  • Site visits and client meetings as required.
  • Assist with the management of the recovery of any impaired assets alongside operations team and credit risk management team.
  • Develop the Portfolio Management team to build capabilities and achieve high levels of employee satisfaction in line with a high-performance culture.
Experience and skills required:
  • Very strong credit risk skills and experience.
  • Leadership experience in credit or loan portfolio management in UK property finance.
  • Experience in managing complex loans across these sectors.
