Our client is an established leading specialist property finance lender with significant growth plans, providing tailored funding solutions to brokers, property investors and borrowers across the UK. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service, fast decision‑making and a pragmatic approach to lending, ensuring brokers and customers receive the support they need throughout the entire lending journey.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable growing market‑leading specialist property lender, as a Business Development Manager. Since launching nearly 10 years ago the business has built a strong reputation for service excellence and innovation within short‑term property lending. You’ll play a key part in growing the businesses’ Bridging, Refurbishment and Developer Exit lending (with BTL to follow at the end of 2026) by building trusted, long‑term relationships with brokers. Rather than being desk‑bound, you’ll have the autonomy to manage the region, spend time in the field, and work directly with introducers to structure complex property finance transactions. You’ll be part of a high‑performing, collaborative sales team and work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Sales MD, in a fast‑paced and entrepreneurial environment where your impact will be visible and valued.

Key Activities:

  • Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of broker partners within your assigned region
  • Working directly with introducers to assess and structure complex lending cases in line with credit policy
  • Planning and maintaining a strategic diary of broker meetings and appointments
  • Identifying and developing new sources of business from inbound enquiries, broker registrations, existing relationships, and market activity
  • Maximising bridging and property finance opportunities by understanding broker needs and the businesses’ competitive strengths
  • Achieving agreed quarterly and annual lending targets across relevant lending divisions
  • Attending and presenting at industry events, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops as required
  • Recording broker interactions and activity accurately on the CRM system and providing progress updates as needed

About You:

  • Experience working as a Business Development Manager within financial services in the UK, within property‑related lending such as bridging (ideally), buy‑to‑let, development, or commercial finance
  • Extensive experience in a business development or relationship‑management role
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging brokers and stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to build credible, trust‑based relationships and influence at a senior level
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service
  • Confidence presenting to both small and larger audiences
  • High professional integrity and alignment with the businesses’ values of teamwork, service, integrity, and tenacity

What’s in it for you:

  • A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how the business works with their customers
  • A growing organisation that means there’s lots of opportunities to progress
  • A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one
  • And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a good range of core benefits and bonus potential
