The post is as sales engineer and consultant in power generation. It shall comprise sales and consulting activities. The key activities are:
- Sales and project development for Steam Turbine Generators in the European Union and the UK with additional activities with Gas Turbines. Challoch has a client that is an equipment supplier for these technologies and we are assisting with sales leads and lead development through to contract award.
- Assistance with Challoch's energy consulting projects, which range from engineering design, through renewable energy feasibility studies, to market research.
- Assistance with wider sustainability projects, hydrogen and heat pump studies.
The candidate will have a first degree in mechanical or chemical engineering by preference. A masters is not essential but will be viewed beneficially.
Start date is April 2026.
The position is based in Pencoed, with teleworking possible some days a week.
The gross salary is negotiable and will include an element of sales bonus, paid in arrears on the last day of each calendar month via BACS.
Challoch has a work-place pension scheme for all permanent staff.
In addition to public holidays, the holiday allowance is 20 days per year of which 3-5 days (dependent on the year) must be reserved for the period between Christmas and New Year, when the office is closed.
The Sony site has a subsidised canteen and a gym and you will have access to these at your expense.
