Want to inspire the next generation of global citizens?

At Challenges Abroad, we believe in empowering students to make a difference, both in their own lives and around the world. Through our ethical and impactful programmes, students travel overseas to make a difference to low-income rural communities, gaining leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of Global Citizenship.

We partner with universities and student societies across the UK to create exciting and impactful sustainable travel opportunities and fundraising challenges that combine purpose, travel, and personal growth.

This role offers a lot of autonomy and responsibility, whilst providing a supportive environment for personal and professional development.

What you will do:

  • Recruit students from universities across the UK towards a sales target.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with universities and student-led organisations such as RAGs and other societies.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor student Challenge Leaders.
  • Develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns to promote our programmes.
  • Represent Challenges Abroad at campus events, fairs, and presentations.
  • Utilising various methods and platforms to discover and convert qualified leads into bookings.
  • Manage partnerships end-to-end from outreach to long-term relationship development.
  • Increase brand awareness through digital and on-campus marketing, including social media, flyers, and events.
  • Answer student queries via email and instant message applications.

This is a sales role which will require you to come up with innovative and exciting ways to promote our programmes to students. A key part of this will include regular travel to university campuses for on-site marketing alongside your Challenge Leaders and partner societies. This could include running presentation evenings, information stalls, or in-person promotion on campus.

About you:

We’re looking for a self-motivated, confident communicator with a passion for sustainable travel and social impact.

You will need to:

  • Be self-motivated with strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Have a consultative, partnership-focused approach to relationship building.
  • Be comfortable delivering engaging presentations to student audiences.
  • Be goal-oriented and thrive under pressure.
  • Hold a full UK driver’s licence (with access to a vehicle).

It is a bonus if you:

  • Understand the university mobility and student fundraising challenge market.
  • Have experience promoting products or initiatives to students.
  • Have travelled or volunteered overseas.

What’s in it for you

  • Base Salary: £25,500 base + uncapped bonuses (OTE £28,500)
  • Flexible, remote working with regular UK travel
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • A supportive, purpose-driven team culture
  • Overseas travel opportunities, to gain first-hand exposure to our programmes.
