The Director of Warehouse and Supply Chain Services will be responsible for the management of our operating buildings that provide warehouse solutions, transloading, and special projects, ensuring they operate profitably and at maximum capacity. The individual will work with the VP of Operations across Canada, including Sales, to understand the business requirements based on each specific building's needs. They will sell the suite of services we offer as part of our value proposition to customers.

The individual must work independently to target new business opportunities and liaise with the Sales Team as the subject matter expert. They will also have the responsibility to ensure current customers receive warehouse solutions based on their agreement for annual increases. The role will report directly to the CCO of Fastfrate Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Fastfrate Group warehouses from a commercial standpoint.
  • Deliver targeted results including maximising bottom line profitability by creating synergies.
  • Develop and implement lead sourcing strategies to attract the right customers.
  • Build templates and questionnaires to ensure all aspects of customer needs are covered and cost the opportunity properly.
  • Work with the pricing group to speed up pricing requirements.
  • Benchmark and adapt industry best practices to drive competitive value proposition.
  • Sales alignment with the Sales team across all groups as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead implementation of supply chain/warehouse for customer onboarding.
  • Ensure all warehouses are always operating at maximum capacity.
  • Hit budget expectations.
  • During downtime, sell all other lines of business.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships across the Fastfrate Group of companies.

Requirements:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements.
  • Identifying sales prospects for further development and closure.
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects.
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects.
  • Work with all departments through onboarding of secured business.
  • All other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and WMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies aimed at growth expectations.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills required.
  • MUST have experience in supply/demand and competitive landscape.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions including customer contracts.
