We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a full time MHE Driver in a well-established operation in Thatcham, RG19 4ND.
Pay Rate as a full time MHE Driver:
- Standard Payrate: £13.44 p/h (there is a rate increase of 10% on top of this pay rate for the peak period which ends on the 31st January 2025)
- Night Shift: £14.78 p/h
Typical working hours as a full time MHE Driver:
- Any 5 out of 6 days (Sunday to Friday – 8 hour shift)
- Normal operating hours will be 6am – 9:30pm with shifts starting at 6am, 7am, 8am, 10am & 1pm
- Night Shift: 10pm to 6am
- On a Sunday, there is just one shift 8am – 4:30pm
- 45 mins break (15 mins paid)
**We will need staff to be flexible on shift times**
Your role as an MHE Driver:
- Operating Manual Handling Equipment (MHE), particularly pallet trucks, counterbalance, high level order pickers and Reach trucks
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto bulk racking or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous MHE experience required within a Warehouse/Distribution Centre environment
- Must be able to work at height
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Ability to follow H&S procedures
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Must be able to speak and understand English language
- Ability to be flexible in relation to shifts & hours
- Must be able to work weekends as needed
