We are seeking self-motivated Machine Operatives who are looking to learn and progress within our client's busy production facility in Hengoed, CF82 7SS. This role will involve loading the machine, monitoring the settings for the production, and keeping the line running. As a Machine Operative, you will get £14.11p/h.

Typical working hours as a Machine Operative:

  • Continental 12-hour shift, Rotation of both.
  • Day: 07:00am - 19:00pm
  • Night: 19:00pm - 07:00am

The pattern repeats on a 3-week cycle.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Must be able to lift the load.
  • Part of the role will include operating an overhead crane to load the reel.
  • Previous experience working on industrial/production machines is advantageous but not essential.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Basic/Good PC skills, Numeracy and literacy.
  • Must be able to work from instructions.
  • Work independently in a busy, active environment and collaborate well with others.
  • Work 12-hour shifts, mix of Day and Night shift.
  • Support your team during busy periods, being flexible and adaptable when needed.
  • Although it would be beneficial, you don’t need to have previous experience as we provide intensive training; you just need to be a dependable team player with a can-do attitude, willing to learn and be flexible in your approach.
