The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is now recruiting for a Marketing and PR Manager. This full-service hotel is a key Conference and Events centre based in Birmingham's NEC district. The hotel has recently undergone a stunning refurbishment and opened its new destination restaurant and bar, Brightsmith on the Water.

As Marketing and PR Manager you will be a key member of the commercial team, driving revenue through all market segments of the hotel from the transient guests to Conference and Events and Food and Drink outlets. You will work closely with the department, managing the roll out of marketing and PR initiatives to support their marketing and PR needs.

Role Activity:

  • Proactively manage and implement the annual hotel marketing and PR plan within budget guidelines
  • Oversee the execution of all promotional activities across all available channels, ensuring brand adherence and effectiveness
  • Measure key performance indicators relating to all marketing and PR activities, promotions and campaigns, and producing performance reports for all key stakeholders
  • Manage the roll out of marketing and PR initiatives to support the hotel in meeting their targets
  • Manage all media relations activities and information liaising with PR agency
  • Ensure sales and F&B teams receive full marketing and PR support including collateral
  • Always be the brand champion ensuring all collateral conforms to agreed brand standards
  • Manage internal communications in the hotel and take responsibility for updating regional office of any local stories, awards and sponsorship events
  • Develop, manage and grow a tailored social media strategy to drive engagement and grow loyalty
  • Identify local partnership opportunities with the regional team
  • Respond to customer postings as appropriate tackling any complaints and issues
  • Achieve agreed performance goals and marketing and PR objectives of role set out by the Line Manager
  • Be the marketing and PR representative in hotel commercial focus meetings
  • Conduct continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
  • Conduct regular hotel marketing and PR audits to meet regional and global audit requirements
  • Understand and champion Hilton core values
  • Undertake any reasonable task or function requested by the Line Manager
  • Create an effective marketing and PR team on property, fostering a productive team culture
  • Encourage and motivate individuals to achieve key company and personal objectives and targets
  • Put in place a dedicated career path for each team member
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, ensuring adequate feedback is given
  • Highlight and encourage team members to participate in job specific training opportunities
